Entry Level Programs

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs participates in the following Entry Level Programs to attract a talented and diverse workforce, meet workforce capability needs, support Indigenous employment and provide an APS career pathway.

Graduate Development Program (GDP)

We offer our graduates a variety of work placements, a formal study program, extracurricular activities and job security throughout the graduate program and beyond.

Indigenous Apprenticeships Program (IAP)

We offer our IAP participants a supportive work environment, a formal study program, extracurricular activities and job security throughout the IAP program and beyond.

School Leaver Program

We offer our School Leavers the opportunity to move from the life of a student to the life of a public servant in a supportive working environment. This includes a formal study program, extracurricular activities and job security throughout the School Leaver program and beyond.
