DVA services during the holiday season

DVA will continue to provide support to veterans and families during the holiday season.

However, please be aware that some services will be impacted to varying extents. These include Open Arms centres (but not Open Arms phone lines, which will remain open 24/7), transport bookings, Veterans’ Access Network (VAN) offices and general enquiries, and some other services.

Interpreter service

If you need an interpreter, the Telephone Interpreter Service (TIS) can help you call us.

You can call TIS on 131 450 or visit the TIS website.

National Relay Service

If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech/communication difficulty, please contact us through the National Relay Service (NRS) by: 

  • Contacting your preferred NRS call channel detailed on NRS call numbers and links 
  • Then, provide the NRS with our phone number 1800 838 372
