Support when you cannot work

We may pay you if a service-related injury or illness impacts your ability to work. You must supply a medical certificate, and we may ask about your income and assets. We can also help you rehabilitate to improve your health and wellbeing.

What are incapacity payments and how to get them

You can get this regular payment if you cannot work due to your injury or illness

Faster access to incapacity payments

If your mental health stops you from working your usual hours, we will fast track your payments.

How we calculate incapacity payments

If you cannot work due to a war-cased injury or illness, you may be able to receive this payment

Loss of earnings allowance

If you receive or are claiming Disability Pension, we may be able to help replace lost wages for yourself or a carer during treatment or assessment.

Veteran Payment

A short term payment while you wait for us to process your claim for a mental health condition
