How can veterans get involved in commemorative services?

DVA is committed to ensuring that the service and sacrifice of Australians in war, conflicts and peace operations is respected and recognised. As such, DVA is exploring options to increase participation of veterans in commemorative services in Türkiye and France.

The Expression of Interest for the 2025 Anzac Day Veteran and Family Delivery Pool - International Commemorative Services  for veterans (someone who has served in the Australian Defence Force) and family members of veterans has closed.

The Lone Pine Memorial stands on the site of one of the fiercest offensives and overlooks the whole front line of May 1915. It commemorates more than 4,900 Australian and New Zealand servicemen who died in the Anzac area whose graves are not known. Others named on the memorial died at sea.
