Increased DVA fees for occupational therapy and podiatry consultations

DVA provider fees for certain occupational therapy and podiatry services have increased from 1 July 2021 under the Addressing existing price regulations and below market rate fees in veterans’ care’ Budget measure.

Consultation fees have increased by 27 per cent for occupational therapists and 26 per cent for podiatrists.  Increases are applied in addition to annual indexation which also occurred on 1 July 2021.

The targeted fee increases recognise the important role of occupational therapists and podiatrists in supporting DVA clients, particularly older veterans and war widows, to maintain functional mobility and independence in their own homes.

The increases also aim to improve access to these allied health services for DVA clients by supporting greater sustainability of the occupational therapy and podiatry workforce.

Please refer to your profession specific fee schedule for the new rates.
