MyService is the way to manage your business with us online. You can sign in to submit claims and view their status, book transport and more.

Access MyService via myGov

myGov is a simple and secure way to access government services — including MyService — online in one place.

With a linked MyService account, you can also add your Veteran Gold or White Card to the myGov wallet in the myGov app. Go to the Frequently asked questionsor this video for more information.

What you can do in MyService

MyService lets you do business with us online. You can:

  • submit claims and view their progress (go to video How to submit a DVA claim online)
  • upload information to support your claim
  • apply for DVA-funded mental health treatment and other benefits
  • access your Veteran Card online and a list of your accepted conditions
  • book transport and claim transport costs
  • download official letters for tax or concession purposes
  • update your personal details
  • send us a message
  • request a call from us.

If you’re an existing DVA client you can link your MyService to myGov.

If you’re new to DVA you may need to Register first before linking your account.

Set up a MyService account

Link MyService to myGov

If you are a DVA client and using a web browser, follow these steps to link your DVA account to your myGov account:

  1. Sign in to myGov.
  2. Select View and link services.
  3. Select the Link button next to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
  4. Get an activation code by either:
  5. Enter your activation code and date of birth and select Submit to link your DVA account.

For mobile users, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app and go to Services from your home screen.
  2. Select the Link icon (Android) or Plus symbol (Apple) next to the service you want to link.
  3. Select the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and follow the prompts.

Register for MyService

If you are new to DVA you may not have the activation code needed to link myGov and MyService. To use the Register Now option via a web browser:

  1. Sign in to myGov.
  2. Select View and link services.
  3. Select the Link button next to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
  4. Select Register Now.
  5. Choose which status applies to you:
    • I am still serving
    • I am no longer serving
    • I have never served.
  6. Enter your personal details including PMKeyS number, service number, or DVA client number.
  7. Submit details for your proof of identity documents.
  8. All your personal details must be an exact match with the details shown on your identity documents. Double check that your details are accurate and select Submit.
  9. Check your email for your activation code, it will be sent within 24 hours.
  10. Enter your activation code and date of birth and select Submit to link your DVA account. You may need to sign back into myGov to complete this step.

For mobile users, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app and go to Services from your home screen.
  2. Select the Link icon (Android) or Plus symbol (Apple) next to the service you want to link.
  3. Select the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and follow the prompts.

Using your MyService home page

The MyService home page is your personalised control centre. Everyone's home page is different depending on their circumstances.
At the top of your home page you may see:

  • tasks you need to complete
  • the number of claims you've submitted
  • your last payment amount
  • upcoming booked trips to the doctor, allied health professional or specialist.

You can apply for services, benefits and make claims from your home page. You can also see your card details, and if relevant be able to report changes to your circumstances.

Protect yourself from scams

Please be vigilant in protecting the security and privacy of your data – change your passwords regularly, use strong passwords and use two-factor authentication or sign up to myID  .
myGov will never send you an email or SMS with a link. If in doubt, type my.gov.au into your browser and sign in to your myGov account or contact Services Australia directly. Do not rely on the contact information in the email or SMS if you think it’s a scam.
