Order of Service

On Wednesday 14 September 2022, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) delivered a nationally televised commemorative service to mark the 75th Anniversary of Australian Peacekeeping, at the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial on Anzac Parade, Canberra.

The national commemorative service not only marks the 75th Anniversary of Australian Peacekeeping, but will provide an opportunity for all Australians to pause, reflect and appropriately acknowledge the service and sacrifice of the more than 66,000 Australians - made up of Australian Defence Force (ADF), Australian Federal Police (AFP), and civilians - who have served in peacekeeping roles. It will also provide an opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of the 16 Australians that have died on duty or were killed on peacekeeping operations since 1947.
