2022-23 Grants-In-Aid recipients announced
Fifteen ex-service organisations (ESOs) have each secured a share of $145,000 in funding as the successful recipients of the 2022-23 Grants-In-Aid. The funding will be used by the organisations to provide vital support to the veteran community and improve communications between their networks.
Among the 15 recipients is Legacy Australia, who support the partners and children of veterans that gave their lives or health serving our country, and Defence Force Welfare Association, who advocate for veterans on welfare matters. The Grants-In-Aids funding will help organisations such as these to continue to serve the veteran community.
ESOs are a critical part of providing a stable support system for veterans and their families, and the Australian Government is committed to working with them and investing in this relationship.
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ (DVA) Grants-In-Aids program is designed to support ESOs and improve services for the veteran community through collaboration. The program encourages ESOs to work together and increase communication between the organisations, the ex-service community and the Australian Government.
