Code of Conduct for the care and support sector – consultation has started

There is considerable overlap of service providers and care and support workers across the veterans’, disability and aged care sectors. The Australian Government is consulting on the development of a code of conduct which will apply to all three sectors, from 16 November to 10 December 2021.

A draft code has been prepared based on the existing NDIS Code of Conduct and a consultation paper has been developed.

Stakeholder views on the areas where the draft code may need to be further adapted or adjusted to ensure it is fit for purpose across the care and support sector are now being sought.

All stakeholders are invited to provide input into the draft Code by providing submissions on a consultation paper and completing the online questionnaire which can be accessed at Code of Conduct consultation.
