Veteran and Community Grants applications now open
The V&CG program aims to maintain and improve the independence and quality of life for members of the Australian veteran community by providing funding for projects that sustain or enhance health and wellbeing. This year, applications for practical projects and activities that support safe, accessible environments for veterans and their families to enable social connection and positive engagement to improve wellbeing are being encouraged.
This may include improvements that make community spaces safer and more accessible, equipment that will enable COVID-safe activities, or assistance to connect online.
The 2020-21 grants round opens online today. Ex-Service Organisations (ESOs) and community organisations working in partnership with an ESO are invited to apply for grants under two categories:
- Small Grants of up to $20,000 for local, community-based projects and activities.
- Large Grants of up to $150,000 are available for projects that deliver wellbeing support services and activities of broad-scale benefit to the veteran community.
Grant applications close 29 January 2021. For information about how to apply for grants online, see the Community Grants Hub website.
Support is available by phone: 1800 020 283 or by email: support [at] communitygrants.gov.au (support[at]communitygrants[dot]gov[dot]au).
