Processing delays

DVA is experiencing a significant increase in the volume of information access requests currently being received. The department is working through requests as quickly as possible, while also increasing the size of the Information Access Unit so we have more processing staff available.
While we are doing everything possible to respond to requests in a timely way, there will be delays in some circumstances. In these instances, the team will write to applicants seeking an extension to ensure they receive the information they requested.
