Consultation has started - review of Veterans’ Home Care and Community Nursing Programs

The review of Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) and Community Nursing Programs (CN) has started. Here’s how VHC and CN providers can shape the future of veterans’ home and support programs.

There are several ways that VHC and CN service providers can provide feedback on how to improve the current arrangements: 

The online survey

The online survey is intended to enhance our understanding of the current market environment, and what needs to change to ensure DVA clients continue to have access to safe, effective in-home care services in the future. The survey will ask for your views on what is working well and what needs to change regarding this program. 

The link to the survey can be found in the November 2021 VHC and CN Bulletins. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes. The survey will close at 5pm, Monday, 29 November 2021 (AEDT).

Virtual focus groups

To supplement the service provider survey, a number of provider workshops are also being held. In the interest of managing of numbers and to ensure that we have a diversity of views, participation will be by invitation only. DVA will be contacting targeted providers shortly to determine interest in being involved in a workshop which will be facilitated by Nous Group, as the organisation engaged by DVA to conduct the review.
