Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2017–2018

DVA's vision is to be a diverse, vibrant and inclusive workplace, where individuals are valued and empowered to achieve their potential.  We are working towards practical Reconciliation, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community build relationships based on mutual respect and recognition of the unique place that First Australians hold in our society.  We seek to be part of an Australian community that recognises and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultural identity, community, economic empowerment and self-determination. 

DVA's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) will map our journey towards supporting increased opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, increasing the cultural competency of all of our staff and ensuring that we provide culturally sensitive and appropriate services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander veterans.
