Boost to veteran pensions

Veterans and families are set to receive an increase in financial support when pension payments rise later this month, in line with the pension indexation process.

Those who are eligible don’t have to do anything to receive the payment increase, it will be automatically applied to payments received after 20 March 2025; the first full payment at the new rates will be the payday 17 April 2025. The pension for payday 3 April covers entitlements for the period 18 March 2025 to 31 March 2025 and will be paid partly at the old rate and partly at the new rate.
