Professional advice when lodging DVA claims

A client of ours gave the following recount of his experience with RSL DefenceCare:

I am a veteran of the Royal Australian Navy. After many years since separating from service, I was referred to RSL DefenceCare by another fellow veteran, as I had not got around to lodging claims to DVA.

At the time of lodging my DVA claim, I had lost my job, due to multiple conditions suffered, both mentally and physically, as a result of my service. 

RSL DefenceCare advised of my eligibility to claim for Veteran Payment to assist me on a financial level until DVA determined my claims. When my claims were accepted, I was removed from Veteran Payment and RSL DefenceCare assisted with lodging a claim for incapacity loss of income. 

With RSL DefenceCare’s help, I accessed a program that enabled me to receive the necessary treatment (surgery) whilst my claim was pending determination. RSL DefenceCare has provided me with services I never knew existed, along with guidance to access a case coordinator at DVA as my case was considered complex.
