The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is making it easier for health providers to comply with our program arrangements with our new suite of DVA compliance webpages, and to remind you to protect your provider number.
Our easy to follow compliance webpages cover:
- Complying with DVA health programs - an overview of your obligations as a provider to DVA clients, how to comply and consequences for non-compliance,
- the most common compliance issues, so you can ensure to avoid them; and
- the basics to complying with our Notes for Allied Health providers.
Protect your provider number
You are responsible for your provider number and you are accountable for any claiming errors. So it’s important that you ensure if someone else does your claiming they have not made any mistakes.
Register with Services Australia for HPOS (Health Professional Online Services) to check claiming online, and visit provider claiming for more information on how to claim payment from us.
