Request for approval to use the DVA Logo

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) has strict guidelines for the use of the Australian Government crest and DVA logo.

Approved use

Approval is most commonly granted to not-for-profit, community and ex-service organisations that have received a grant or in-kind support from DVA and would like to provide acknowledgement.

Not-for-profit organisations that have a provider relationship with DVA (e.g. aged care providers) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Unapproved use

Approval will not be granted to use the DVA logo on third-party or commercial websites or advertising material, where the use of the logo could imply endorsement of, or give a real or perceived commercial advantage, to a third party.

Health service providers accepting DVA Health Cards are not permitted to use the DVA logo under normal circumstances, however you can use words such as 'DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral or with prior approval’.

Subject to the Conditions of Use, DVA grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable authority to use the logo for non-commercial purposes only.
