MyService Advocate Guide

Last updated:

The need for simpler online services has never been more important.

To streamline our processes and improve claim turnaround times, MyService will become the preferred channel for lodging claims from 31 March 2025

This means Advocates will also need to submit claims through MyService. Claims will be returned to you if they are emailed or provided in paper form to a DVA office. Use of the ESO Portal is also not recommended as this will be decommissioned over time.

MyService ensures streamlined claims management and is accessed through myGov - a safe and trustworthy platform that keeps information secure.

This change will increase efficiency and reduce processing delays, leading to faster claims outcomes for veterans.

How to register

To act on behalf of the clients you represent through MyService, Advocates can register as a Representative in MyService.

The How to register as an Advocate in MyService Guide will step you through this process.

In order to register as a Representative in MyService, you will need a signed copy of the D9325 form – Appointing a third party to represent a DVA client.

If you are part of an organisation that represents multiple clients, please register through MyOrg.

Through MyOrg, Nominated Representative Organisations can:

  • Submit requests to represent DVA clients
  • Access MyService accounts for the DVA clients they represent
  • Maintain records of who in their organisation is authorised to have MyOrg access
  • Manage the access permissions for their authorised personnel to DVA client records

MyOrg is a linked service available through PRODA – Provider Digital Access.  PRODA is the provider authentication service hosted by Services Australia on behalf of the Australian Government.  Information about PRODA can be found on the Services Australia website.

The PRODA guides will step you through this process

  1. Register for individual PRODA account - for the authorised officer of your organisation
  2. Register for organisation and Link to Services Guide
  3. Add personnel to an organisation in PRODA

IMPORTANT: In order to register as a Representative you will need a signed copy of the D9325 form – Appointing a third party to represent a DVA client.
