Actuarial Investigation into the Costs of Military Compensation

Last updated:

The Actuarial Investigation into the Costs of Military Compensation is a report by the Australian Government Actuary to examine the future liabilities in respect of the Australian Defence Force personnel, under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 and the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

The report is prepared for the purpose of advising Government of the nature and quantum of its liabilities in respect of compensation for military personnel injured in the course of duty. The report also forms the basis to the Department on reporting for financial statement purposes for the year following the valuation date.
