APS employee census – DVA results

Overview

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) 2024 Australian Public Service (APS) Employee Census (the Census) results are now available for download.

The Census is an opportunity for APS employees APS employees to have their say about working in the APS and in DVA. The Census collects confidential opinions and information about issues (broadly) including:

  • health and wellbeing
  • performance management
  • leadership
  • general impressions of the agency and APS.

All APS employees were invited to participate in the census, which was conducted from 6 May - 7 June 2024. At DVA, APS staff (ongoing and non-ongoing) as well as labour hire employees are invited to participate. 

Seventy-eight per cent (78%) of DVA employees participated in the census (i.e. 3,174 of a possible 4,079 responses).

DVA is proud to present its 2024 DVA APS Employee Census Action Plan, which has been developed in consultation with all staff across the department.
