RAP in residential aged care list
Under the Australian Aged Care Funding Classification (AN-ACC), residential aged care facilities (RACF) are required to provide aids and equipment to meet each residents' clinical needs, as specified in Schedule 1 of the Quality of Care Principles. DVA does not seek to duplicate these arrangements.
However, if a client has clinical need that requires an item that the residential aged care facility is unable to provide, or the item is personalised or customised, DVA will consider this on a case-by-case basis through prior approval. The RAP in Residential Aged Care List provides information on items that may be supplied from the Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) National Schedule of Equipment to DVA clients living in residential aged care facilities.
