100,000 applications for veterans’ recognition

The Covenant recognises and acknowledges the unique nature of military service, and the contribution of veterans and their families.

The Veterans’ Recognition Program within the Covenant framework includes a Lapel Pin, Oath and the new-look Veteran Card for all veterans and eligible reservists who apply.

The new-look Veteran Card is a redesign of existing DVA Health Cards. While the Veteran Card’s primary purpose continues to be providing health and treatment services to veterans, it now also provides card holders with access to thousands of offers from businesses across Australia as part of a new benefits program.

More than 800 businesses and community organisations are offering benefits and concessions to support veterans and their families. These benefits are at the discretion of participating businesses and organisations.

Veteran Card holders can register using their Veteran Card on the Australian Partners of Defence (APOD) website to access over 10,000 offers from supermarkets to name brand clothing retailers and even skydiving experiences!

Businesses and organisations that pledge their support will receive a Business Pack including window stickers, information brochures, a small counter display and a copy of the Covenant Oath.

If a business in your local area is not aware of the Veteran Card, encourage them to find out more to get involved and show their support.

Eligible current ADF and former serving members, including reservists can register for the Covenant through MyService.
