1 July 2022 - indexation of DVA health provider fees and cessation of temporary telehealth arrangements

From 1 July 2022:

• DVA fees have been indexed by 1.6 per cent; and
• Temporary telehealth arrangements have ceased.

Indexation of DVA fees for allied health items

DVA fees for medical, dental and allied health items have been indexed by 1.6 per cent.

Updated fee schedules are available on the webpage Dental and allied health fee schedules.

Temporary telehealth arrangements ceased from 30 June 2022

Temporary Medicare Benefits Schedule telehealth items that were introduced on 16 January 2022 in response to the COVID-19 Omicron outbreak ceased on 30 June 2022.

In line with this, DVA’s temporary telehealth arrangements for allied health providers delivering initial and extended consultations also ceased.

Allied health care providers can continue to deliver standard consultations by telehealth under DVA’s permanent telehealth arrangements using the permanent telehealth items listed within the DVA fee schedules.
