VETs HeLP – elearning platform helping providers help veterans

Health providers can now access all the information and educational resources they need to support them to support veterans and families, in the one, easy-to-navigate elearning platform, VETs HeLP.

Many veterans face barriers in accessing healthcare. In this joint DVA and Medcast initiative, VETs HeLP equips health professionals to address the unique health needs of veterans, to help them stay well after they’ve left the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Putting free resources and courses at the fingertips of health providers, topics covered on this engaging platform include:

  • the veteran experience and transition to civilian life
  • mental health
  • services available for veterans and their families
  • how to bill for care provided to veterans; and
  • compensation and claims processing.

You can also meet your Continuing Professional Development requirements through online case scenarios, podcasts, live and recorded webinars and audits.

Access VETs HeLP at medcast.com.au/veterans-health

Or find it among our extensive suite of quick guides and tools for health providers on the DVA website.

And remember to ask your patient if they’ve served in the ADF.
