Seeking names of those who were either born or resided in the following towns BEFORE they served – Wonga Park, Lilydale, Coldstream, Yering, Gruyere, Wandin, Seville, Silvan, Monbulk, Olinda, Kalorama, Mt Dandenong, Montrose, Kilsyth, Mooroolbark, Mt Evelyn.

I have found an official memorial plaque for British Empire soldiers who died in WWI. It bears the inscription, 'He died for freedom and honour' and the name on the front is James William Thomson. The plaque is 12 cm in diameter and shows Britannia (a female warrior holding a trident and shield) and a lion on the front. The plaque would have been issued to the closest next of kin.

Advising Veterans of the Malayan Emergency and the Indonesian Confrontation and past and potential donors that the establishing of a Memorial in the Australian War Memorial Sculpture Garden, Canberra, is entering the design phase. In April 1941, the first women started working for the Navy as members of the Women's Emergency Signalling Corps, which later became the Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS). A handful from WWII are still alive. Of those that have left us, where do they rest? We need your help to record the resting place of our sisters. This project includes ALL Australian Navy Women from 1941 until the current day. If you know of the death of any WRANS/RAN service women, and hopefully their burial place, please make contact.

He was on HMAS SYDNEY in the early 1970s. He had 2 brothers in the Navy as well, one was Dick. Dennis came to our wedding 52 years ago. I would like to catch up.

The NWOA is a national association comprising retired and serving naval officers who have either commanded or served in Australian warships. Membership includes veterans of WW2, Vietnam, East Timor, both Gulf Wars, Operation SLIPPER and current operations in the Middle East and elsewhere. The Association provides a social network for past and present officers of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) who primarily have a surface warfare focus however its charter includes Officers of all specialisations who have served at sea since WW2. It maintains very close links with the RAN and particularly with the Centre of Maritime Warfare Training, HMAS WATSON. Seeking my good friend who was posted to RAEME Bulimba in 1966 and served in the Instrument Section until early February 1988. Noel was a former resident of Stockton, Newcastle.

Ceremony to be held on 9 February 2025 at the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance. This will be a very special parade, as it unites all ESOs and unaffiliated Nashos for the first time since the disbandment of National Service in 1972. Family members are welcome to carry their own flag. Step off is at 1100 hrs.

The Royal Australian Corps of Signals (RA Sigs) is celebrating 100 years of service to the Australian Army and the Nation. A parade and commemorative service has been organised for 14 February 2025 at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. Visit the website for further details.

Seeking Robbie's Australian national flag from the Vietnam Veteran's welcome home parade in Sydney on 3 October 1987. A national flag was purchased in memory of each of our KIA and it was presented to the family to lead the Parade down George Street. Some flags were carried by mates and stored for safe keeping. Robbie came to Australia from Scotland as a child, and his parents returned there after he joined the Army. He served in SVN with 6 RAR. Robbie was KIA on 11 December 1969 and his parents who have now both passed away did not receive his flag. Robbie's family is Scotland learnt about the flag and would love to locate it.

I’m part of the Australian Gulf War Illness Association, and we are seeking all veterans from Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. This covers 1800 Australian personnel involved during 1990/91 from all 3 services, including any of our allies from US/UK who are now Australia based. Due to recent media coverage, we are looking for crew to help populate our Gulf War (Kuwait veterans) database with their email address, surname, initials, unit served in/with and postcode. We need veteran numbers to validate further funding. All personal details will be held in strict confidence.

Seeking my mate Roger, who I served with from 1969 to 1972. He was best man at my wedding in 1971. Last I heard of him was at Bilimba workshop in 1974.
