- Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986 (VEA)
The VEA provides for pensions and other benefits to and medical and other treatment for veterans and their dependants, mostly arising from defence service prior to 1 July 2004. - Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (DRCA)
The DRCA provides for compensation and rehabilitation arising from peacetime and peacekeeping service up to and including 30 June 2004 and operational service between 7 April 1994 and 30 June 2004. - Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA)
The MRCA provides for compensation, rehabilitation and other benefits in relation to defence service on or after 1 July 2004. The Act also provides compensation and other benefits for the dependants of certain deceased members whose death is the result of service on or after 1 July 2004.
