Veterans' health check for providers
We support health checks for veterans to help them stay well after they move into civilian life. We offer general practitioners (GPs) custom assessment tools to help assess a veteran's physical and mental health.

Types of health checks
We offer the:
- One-off Veterans’ Health Check for a veteran to have once, any time after they leave the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
- Annual Veterans’ Health Check for a veteran to have each year for up to 5 years after they leave the ADF. This is available to veterans who left the ADF on or after 1 July 2019.
Watch our YouTube video to learn more about the 2 types of health checks.
We recommend 45 minutes to conduct a check. Depending on the veteran's health, you may need more or less time.
As a qualified GP, a qualified health professional such as a practice nurse, may assist you.
