Known as Heroes Monument: a tall carved pillar with an octagonal base.

A monument dedicated to fallen heroes of past military conflicts.

The foundation stone was laid November 29 by the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.

The monument is located in the grounds of the Sarawak Museum. From Kuching International Airport head north on Jalan Lapangan Terbang, take 2nd exit off the roundabout onto Jalan Sherip Masahor, take the 3rd exit off the roundabout onto Jalan Tun Ahmed Zaidi Adruce, right onto Jalan Satok and left onto Jalan P. Ramle. The museum straddles both sides of Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg.
